Description

Shrub or small tree to 12' high if left to its own devices. Bright coral-red 1" flowers are produced year round. Careful pruning will result in this specimen being maintained as a large multi-trunked open shrub. Note: This is a member of the Euphorbia family and contains a sap that can be very irritating to the skin of sensitive individuals. A pink form is sometimes availabe and should be considered.

Maintenance

Prune 3 to 4 times a year to maintain shape and size desired. Early on, judicious pruning of lateral branches will steer the plant's growth toward desirable open shrub/small tree shape. Carefully select and remove interior crossing branches and those that make the plant appear "too thick". Once desired height of about 8' is attained, prune only to maintain size and shape 2-3 times a year.
